Reference Librarians

When you need help searching for books or articles, learning about a citation style, or starting a research project, you can contact your reference librarian directly via their email or phone number to ask questions or schedule a consultation. Your Subject Librarians (or Liaisons)

Need a librarian to teach your class about using the library? Not sure who you should consult for research help for a specific discipline? The reference librarians can help. Here is a list of what they can do and who to contact.

Subject liaisons can:

  • Create topic, assignment, or class Libguides
  • Receive recommendations for purchases - books, periodicals, or electronic resources (such as databases)
  • Conduct tours of the library
  • Conduct bibliographic instruction (sometimes called 鈥渓ibrary sessions鈥�) for classes. These classes can be tailored to specific assignments or classes, or can be overviews of the Library鈥檚 resources
  • Help develop research assignments
  • Assist with and collaborate on research
