Fan-favorite musical Fiddler on the Roof coming to ؛¬ذك²فتسئµâ€™s Brown Auditorium May 18 and 19

MONROE, LA – The classic favorite musical “Fiddler on the Roofâ€‌ will be performed on May 18 and May 19 by the Louisiana Opera and the University of Louisiana Monroe School of Visual and Performing Arts on the ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ campus in Brown Auditorium, 4001 Desiard St in Monroe. On Saturday, May 18, the show will be at 7:30 pm, while on Sunday, May 19, the matinee will start at 2:00 pm.ج‎

Tickets can by purchased at the door prior to each performance. General Admission tickets are $20, Faculty/Staff tickets are $10, and student tickets are FREE upon the presentation of a student ID.ج‎

This production will feature Metropolitan Opera tenor Allan Glassman singing and acting the role of Tevye, in a role first created by a number of great singer-actors, including Met tenor Jan Pierce. Joining Glassman on stage will be celebrated LA Opera veterans soprano Betsy Uschkrat, and tenor Tyler Smith.ج‎

؛¬ذك²فتسئµ faculty members Claire Vangelisti and Nancy Carey will also take the stage, while crowd favorite Ron Ulen, baritone, will also join this fabulous cast.ج‎

In addition, students from ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ productions will be in the show, with the music directed by faculty member Richard Seiler, and the semi-staged performances directed by Mark Ross Clark. The costumer for this show is Margaret Hall, and the technical director is Steven Burnside.ج‎
