PBC in Autism Spectrum Disorder added to ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ Online

15-hour course begins in Fall 2019

Continuing to build on its Health Sciences foundation, the University of Louisiana Monroe has added the onlyج‎Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorderج‎(PBC-ASD) program in Louisiana.

The 15-hour, five-course PBC-ASD is throughج‎؛¬ذك²فتسئµ Online.

Taught in eight-week formats, the courses must be completed in sequence.ج‎

The program will be offered for the first time in the Fall 2019 semester. The 15-hour, five-course PBC-ASD is throughج‎؛¬ذك²فتسئµ Online. Taught in eight-week formats, the courses must be completed in sequence. Coursework includes writing reports, making presentations and examinations.

ج‎Courses are taught by ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ faculty who are directly involved with theج‎Autism Center at ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ. The faculty have extensive training, education and experience working with individuals with ASD and their families.

Requirements are a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a 2.75 GPA or better.

The PBC-ASD is for those wanting to learn more about ASD and those with years of experience.ج‎

“This certificate offers anyone with a bachelor's degree to learn more about supporting individuals with ASD and their families across the lifespan,â€‌ said Dr. David Irwin, professor and director of ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ'sج‎Speech-Language Pathology Program and director ofج‎the Autism Center at ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ.

“By following the correct sequence, it is possible for a student to complete all 15 hours in 12 months,â€‌ Irwin said.

  • SPLP 4505 Family and Professional Partnerships in Individuals with ASD
