Faculty, staff and students may purchase one $3 ticket with a valid º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ ID, as well as purchase additional tickets for $8 each at the La Capitol Federal Credit Union branch on the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ campus.
Tickets for the general public are $8 and can be purchased at the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ La Capitol branch.
Any remaining tickets will be available at the door, starting at 5 p.m., the night of the event. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Lacey Sanchez, Miss Louisiana 2014, will emcee the event.
The Miss º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Pageant—which was honored with an award from the Miss Louisiana Organization for providing more scholarship money than any other college pageant in Louisiana— is a preliminary to the Miss Louisiana Pageant, sponsored by º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµâ€™s Campus Activities Board.
The competitive scholarship program emphasizes physical fitness, talent, public speaking, and academics.
Contestants must demonstrate poise, personality, intelligence, charm, and beauty during the pageant, and must showcase a trained talent in a 90-second performance.
Each contestant must be a full-time º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ student and also adhere to grade point average requirements in order to compete in the pageant.

The 2015 Miss º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Contestants:
Bria Virgil, a freshman kinesiology major from Baton Rouge, will perform a musical number on the piano. Her platform is “Pretty with a Purpose.â€
Christina Gray, a senior business management major from Winnfield, will give a vocal performance. Her platform is “Mentoring to Impact Students’ Lives.â€
Ellie Jackson, a sophomore biology major from Monroe, will perform a jazz dance en Pointe. Her platform is “Teen Bullying.â€
Ashley Camp, a junior biology major from Calhoun, will give a vocal performance. Her platform is “Volunteering in your Community.â€
Victoria Eymard, a junior kinesiology major from Slidell, will perform a dance. Her platform is “65 Roses for Cystic Fibrosis.â€
Kaitlynn Frey, a sophomore elementary education major from Rosepine, will perform a jazz dance. Her platform is “Staying Strong: Military Children and Education.â€
Jo’ Hilliard, a junior nursing major from Baton Rouge, will give a vocal performance. Her platform is “Operation Turn-Around: Stopping Violence amongst Teens and Adolescents.â€
Elaine Blanco, a sophomore music education major from Leesville, will perform a musical number on the trumpet. Her platform is “Eating Disorder Education and Awareness.â€
Conor Marshall, a sophomore pre-nursing major from Jonesville, will perform a clog dance. Her platform is “Depression Awareness.â€
Jessica Philips, a freshman kinesiology major from Winnsboro, will perform a musical number on the piano. Her platform is “Project Samuel.â€
Lacy Bagby, a sophomore health studies management/marketing major from Sterlington, will perform a tap dance. Her platform is “Let’s Move.â€
Lauren Ford, a senior pre-pharmacy major from Monroe, will perform a musical number on the fiddle. Her platform is “Character Counts.â€

The Miss º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ pageant has welcomed a sold-out audience for the past three years. Those interested in attending are encouraged to purchase tickets before the event.
