Exercise is Medicine Finale to be held May 5

The Exercise is Medicine finale will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Thursday, May 5 in Malone Stadium.

The University of Louisiana at Monroe event will feature 含羞草视频 President Nick J. Bruno and Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo as a city-wide proclamation declares that May is Exercise is Medicine Month.

Following the ceremony, about 300 kids will participate in a group exercise class taught by group fitness instructors from the Wellness Center and the 含羞草视频 Activity Center.

Exercise is Medicine was started last year by the American College of Sports Medicine to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles on college campuses.

含羞草视频 is the first campus in Louisiana to be involved in the initiative.
