º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ staff member earns photojournalism award
The 2010 Louisiana Press Association Better Newspaper competition recently recognized the work of University of Louisiana at Monroe Digital Media Coordinator Terrance Armstard, formerly a photojournalist with The (Monroe, La.) News-Star.
Armstard won an honorable mention for Best Photo Package in Division 2.
Armstard obtained his B.A. in photojournalism and M.A. in communication from º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ, and is an award-winning member of the National Press Photographer's Association, National Association of Black Journalists and a member of the University Photographers Association of America.
At º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ, Armstard is responsible for digital media, including photography and video generation/production.
He began his professional career at The News-Star, working as a photojournalist covering spot, feature and general news.
