º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµâ€™s Jaden Leach prepares for the Miss Louisiana Pageant
Jaden Leach, a º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ elementary education major from West Monroe, is among the contestants vying for the title of Miss Louisiana when the 2011 Miss Louisiana Pageant is held June 23-25 at Monroe Civic Center's W.L. "Jack" Howard Theater. All events will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Leach and the other contestants were introduced earlier this week at the Miss Louisiana Kick-Off Press Conference, followed by a Tuesday luncheon on the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ campus in which Leach enthusiastically welcomed the 34 other contestants.
"I'm so glad you are all here and I know you will agree that º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ is the most amazing, outstanding, superior college that we think it is!" she said.
Leach was crowned Miss º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ in October 2010.
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ President Dr. Nick J. Bruno also welcomed the contestants and wished them the best.
"I look forward to seeing you all in a leadership role in the future," he said. "Good luck to you and be sure just to have some fun."
Hope Anderson and Erica Durr are two former Miss º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµs who join Leach in vying for the title of Miss Louisiana 2011.
The current and outgoing Miss Louisiana 2010, Kelsi Crain, a junior kinesiology major at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ, is performing several dance routines for the pageant.
Crain was crowned Miss Louisiana in June 2010 while also holding the Miss º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ title.
