º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ United Way campaign begins Oct. 8

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s 2007 United Way campaign will begin Monday, Oct. 8, and will end Oct. 26.

The kick-off reception will occur from 3 – 4 p.m. at the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Conference Center (Library, 7th floor). Several guest speakers from the United Way and partner agencies will attend the event.

The United Way committee members hope to top last year’s 51 percent participation rate from º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ employees and to reach the campaign goal of $55,000.

The 2007 º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Campaign Cabinet includes Co-chair Paula Thornhill, Co-chair Paul Karlowitz, past Chair Robin Logan, and committee members Vanessa Doherty, Richard Hood, Richard Seiler, Jean Cottingham, Melissa Melancon, Trevor Melder, Eric Pani, Lauri Mondschein, Jaclyn Verrett, and Janie Milby.

The dollars raised through the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ United Way Campaign will benefit local agencies, including the American Red Cross, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Med-Camps, Ouachita Council on Aging, and the Salvation Army.
