During the ߲Ƶ Foundation quarterly meeting Thursday, the Board of Trustees unanimously voted to issue a vote of confidence in ߲Ƶ President James Cofer.

Cofer has been instrumental in contacting and involving ߲Ƶ alumni who have not been previously involved, she said.  “This has proven to be extremely rewarding to the ߲Ƶ Foundation Board.  We have gained new members whose participation has been an inspiration to all of us.”

Despite challenges, Cofer has brought significant progress to ߲Ƶ, Cummins said.

“It is our unanimous feeling that Dr. Cofer during his tenure has brought a new image and direction to ߲Ƶ, often having to do so by facing obstacles not of his making, such as state budget cuts,” she said. “We certainly endorse the job he is doing not only for our university but for our community and state as well.”
